Happy Halloween!!!
I may be too old to trick or treat, but you're never too old to carve pumpkins! I found four "ernie" pumpkins, searched the internet for some pattern inspiration, and set to work. I suppose you may be wondering what an "ernie" pumpkin is... Normally there are two different shapes of pumpkins-"ernie" and "bert." Yes, that's right the muppets from Sesame Street. This is just another of those strange comparisons that hit me when I was picking out pumpkins, so bear with me! Anyway, "bert" pumpkins are the taller, oval pumpkins (like Bert's head) and "ernie" pumpkins are the shorter, rounder pumpkins (like Ernie's head). I prefer the "ernies." They are just more pumpkiny. So, here are my ernies...Hedwig and what I have dubbed the Voldemort scary face which I carved myself and Harry and the happy face which were not carved by me, but look oh so purdy!
