I've been crocheting a lot lately because I'm making myself finish all the projects I started last year before I start something new. I have eleven projects, big and small, in progress although only two have a deadline attached. My mother's birthday is at the end of this month so I need to finish her present and I want to make something to put in the Valentine's Day card for my niece. Neither is a very big project but they're both made using crochet thread which I can only work with for so long before my eyes cross and my fingers cramp. Behind the cut are some finished projects.
I made this for Arden's birthday last summer but I don't think I ever posted pictures of it. It called for plastic handles but I couldn't find any so I picked one of the colors from the blanket and crocheted handles. It was a stroke of luck that she was dressed to match when I gave it to her.
This is Arden's Christmas present. She loves rainbow colors so I used pink, yellow, green, blue, and purple in a wave pattern. It became the bane of my existence for awhile because I kept crocheting but it didn't seem to be getting any bigger. She loved it so it was worth it. She used the tissue paper from the box as a pillow so she could test it out right away.
My brother is a huge life-long Pittsburgh Steelers fan and I had all the colors of their logo left over from other projects so I decided to make him a pillow. The background was modified from a blanket pattern and the stars were done freehand. The white doesn't show through nearly as much in person.
