Bah humbug!
I have a case of the holiday humbugs! Christmas is just a few days away and I'm nowhere near ready for it. I swear I was planning ahead this year but fate seemed to be conspiring against me. First, I injured my eye and the pain really slowed me down. Then a couple of weeks later I tripped taking out the trash and injured just about everything else. Almost as soon as I started feeling better I got the flu. On top of all that, for the first time in about 7 years I won't be visiting my nieces and nephews for the holidays which really makes me sad.
I was making all of my Christmas presents this year but right now all I have finished is a scarf for my brother's ex-wife. Everything else is in varying stages of completeness but I'm just out of time to finish them. I'll probably be heading to the stores tomorrow to buy substitutes and give the gifts I'm making as birthday presents. The one thing I definitely want to finish is Arden's blanket. If I focus on that I should be able to get it done and I have a full week since I won't see her until the Saturday after Christmas. Keep your fingers crossed for me! I'm off to watch Christmas movies in an attempt to shake off the doldrums.
