Car update
The car is totaled. I was surprised at how much the company valued the car at. I guess it pays to take decent care of your expensive things! Still have no idea if the possum made it or not, and no word yet from PennDOT about any guardrail damage. So far my insurance company has been awesome. I finally decided to get the rental car my policy covers, and that company had a rep calling me before I was off the phone with the insurance. Speedy!
So, um, heartfelt recommendation of USAA, if you qualify. I don't know if it's worth joining the military just to get in with this company, but damn I am glad my grandpa served in Korea.
