They are looking for at least 5000 responses to be able to get good statistics. The goal is to accurately assess the state of care for LGBT and HIV-positive people, for good or bad. It's a short survey, 15 minutes.
In order to accurately report my own experience, I had to check "this has not happened to me" for events which I know have happened to people I know well.
I encourage my friends to a) take the survey and b) pass it on to others, including those without constant internet access.
