I know, it has been wicked long. But as I am sure you can attest, graduate school is a life and time sucker that leaves little opportunity to engage in anything else!
I am glad you think my research is top notch :) Unfortunately, my research does not, as only one out of four hypotheses were supported (but, in my mind, the most exciting one was supported!). I hope I will progressively be able to develop more elegant and sophisticated studies. I am hoping to do a really wicked sweet one this next semester, employing signal detection theory, but we'll see how that goes!
You know what I miss most about monroevians? Owen's recent Q reminded me of this . . . I really don't have many people to whom I can talk about research. Quite frankly, no one I know here is into it. Zak does an excellent job listening when I start babbling, but I've gotten into fairly complex (for the layman) statistical and theoretical shit, so sometimes it zooms by family and friends. But Monroevians, they were a breed apart . . . wish there were more around who I could bore with research talk!
