Painkillahs

Pain is always at its best, and by best, I definitely mean most non-existant, first thing in the morning. I manage to sneak in my leg-lifts overnight when I am prone and at my most drugged. I think 40 yesterday, before the nerve block wore off, and something like 20-30 today so far. I am going to wean myself off painkillers pretty hardcore today. Hopefully that doesn't come back and kick me in the ass. And by ass, I definitely mean leg. Mostly I want to do this because a.) I am hardcore, b.) I loathe being muddle-headed and c.) my sleep schedule is all messed up. I keep dropping off randomly throughout the day and cannot sleep through the night! Luckily, talking to people aloud is getting much easier. Also, I think my leg is learning how to straighten out a little more! Success! Well, very small, gradual success, but I will take what I can get.

At this rate, I should be moved back into Silver Spring next Tuesday after I get my stitches out (ew). I will need rides to work and a lot of company for a little bit, unless my parents get it together and get that car for me! (Sorry, Kirsten).

I am having coffee today for the first time since Monday. This is happening because I am not taking painkillers. The minute I am totally off painkillers I am going to have a stiff drink. Like, seriously, that minute, even if it is 4 am or something.

Got a phone call last night that made my day/evening. :) I have again been so lucky to have all this correspondance. It gives me something to do, so thank you all so much for dropping a note here and there. More thanks go out to: Kathleen, Cheri, Jamaal, Kirsten, soccer Matt, Jon, and Lea as well as everyone else. My goodness! You are all too kind to the gimp :)
