Meniscus = false

Update: The doc thinks I either tore whatever remained of my ACL again, or ripped my meniscus off/in half. The pain this time was much worse than the original injury, but the recovery so far is much better. Because I can already walk! However that is mostly because they drained my knee. Yeah. They drained my knee so they can still do surgery on Tuesday. I cried and screamed, because for some reason (probably anxiety) most local aenesthetics do not work for me. So even though he needled me to numb me (crying part one) I could feel him with the other huge freaking needle and the vials. And he was going "yep, a lot of blood in here, you definitely ripped something else. Oh good, no fatty tissue". Like, a play-by-play of draining my knee. The whole time with me crying and cursing. I really didn't mean to curse, it just happened. A lot. And then a small gaspscream at the end, I guess when he pulled that huge freakin' needle out. Afterwards, he goes "oh, I only got a little over one vial from your knee. My record is three!" All the time with me making small sad sobbing noises and covering my face with my hands. I must have been pretty pathetic, too, because he awkwardly patted my shoulder afterwards and told me "I was so brave". It was like one step away from me getting a lollypop. Sooo traumatizing and I nearly fainted afterwards. However, it felt so much better afterwards so it was worth it. But holy shit ow.
