The reasoning
I wanted to post the reasons I lost my job so you can all see how unbelievably retarded they are:
* Saturday June 14th- Lindsey isnt even on the clock half an hour and she already needs a smoke break. More than one member of management has complained Lindsey doesnt as for smoke breaks, she tells them she is going to smoke.
-Okay, you know me, does me telling my boss how IM going to do things sound like me at all? No. And yes I was there half an hour and wanted to smoke! I was tired, starting a 12 hour shift, and had already worked 2 8 hour shifts in a row. My week was 8 8 12 8. All my work always got done, more than anyone else got done on the clock, so why does it matter?
*Thursday June 19th- Lindsey Preforms a drop placing the money in the envelope without entering it into the computer causing confusion counting the deposit.
-Okay, doing drops was not something I was SUPPOSED to do. It was a management job. I was not management. HOWEVER, if I DIDNT do it, I would get yelled at. This was the first time I had forgotten, and It got me fired?
*Thursday June 19th- The GM was called in to cover for Lindsey to tend to an emergency. Lindsey voices at this time her frustration for another co worker whom had already switched a shift with Lindsey the same week. This undermined the fabric of our team & is simply not welcome herre. Lindsey should not expect someone to work 13.5 hours to help her.
-Okay, 1) this girl SWITCHED a shift with me. She didnt COVER one, she SWITCHED one. She was working the same amount of hours that day and that week. It wasnt like I was asking her to cover an entire shift, I was asking her to stay for 2 more hours because Matts mom was in the hospital. 2) this girl, when I told her Matts mom was in the hospital and asked if she could stay for a little bit, she got very nasty with me and said "pfft absolutely not!" This girl only works 3 6 hour shifts a week. She lives off the unemployment from her other job (since they closed down). WTF was she going home to do?! What was 2 hours going to fucking hurt her? 3) This girl came in NO earlier than 11. Most likely 12... When did 12-7 become 13.5 hours? I mean if thats the case, I should have made ALOT more money for working all those 12 hour Saturays! (yanno, if 7hours = 13.5 hours, 12hours should = 24 right? or wait, 23.5.
Friday June 20th- Lindsey comes to work in Grey Capri pants. This is not our uniform.
- I ASKED my manager previously if I could wear capris to work (since he was wearing shorts). HE said yes and if he didnt like them, he would just tell me not to wear them again. But when I do wear them I get fired? Where did I go wrong there?
As you can see, there was absolutely NO reason to terminate me. NOTHING. This is why I am SO pissed about this..
Not to mention... I got fired FRIDAY and THIS MORNING (MONDAY) Someone from the store called me at 9am. Yes, thats right. Someone AT THE STORE, called me this morning. WTF could they POSSIBLY want?!
