When two people come together on the floor, they have decided that despite their differences they will join together for the length of a dance, or two, to try and understand each other. A dance is never free of complications, a loose frame, a bad lead, a sloppy follow, a partner too stiff, leads to miscommunication, frustration. A good dancer accepts the faults, and understands that part of them might be his own. A good dancer listens to her partner and waits for a clear lead before she steps. When the chemistry is right, it is beautiful, but the dancers don’t notice because they are focused entirely on each other and the music.
…And when there is chemistry the tango will light it on fire.
