Vehicles
Well, my truck was totaled. My dad took me to clean it out last night. I'm going to miss that truck!
We also went car shopping. My dad is pushing Hyundai... so we went there first. Our sales guy was really nice, and even offered to let me drive the beautiful 08 Elantra 5-speed (the one arm in a cast/sling might phase some people when it comes to manual transmission). I took it out for a drive and wow... it was so smooth.... it's silver, has a sunroof, xm radio ready, has a connection for my ipod, is very roomy... i may have fallen for it. it is about 3 grand higher than what i said was my limit... but since it's brand new i could finance it over 72 months... i would definitely get gap insurance this time!!! also it has like a 10 year warranty. sigh. it was nice. and my last paycheck was almost 2x as much as usal because of the ot!! hehe. and insurance will be 300 more each 6 months, but i think most of that is because of the accident. my monthly payment for the car wouldn't be more than 50 more than it is now.
we also looked at carmax. i took out a 2007 suzuki sedan... also a five speed. it was 5-6 grand cheaper, but... it just wasn't at smooth. i didn't like the way it braked either. our sales guy there was a little more nervous... at first he would grab the wheel every time i went to shift...that made me nervous. luckily he stopped after the first few times. hehe. i just... wasn't as impressed.
we're going looking again tomorrow i think. i wish my parents got along enough that they could both come with me. i guess i'll have to find a time when my mom's not working and get her to come with me. i'm sure she'll want to be involved, especially since she'll probably be giving me a loan.
i was sleeping good tonight then my arm woke me up aching. i don't remember my last broken bones hurting this much! but the vicodin should be working soon. yayyyy.
