We bought a huge basket of locally grown peaches this weekend. The are so good and juicy. Unfortunately there was too many of them and some were starting to rot. I took all the ones that had some bad spots and made homemade peach cobbler. Now I have enough to feed an army. I fear that we might get tired of peaches real soon. I am thinking that freezing some of the cobbler might be a good idea.

School starts next Monday,yay!
The kids can't wait. Arthur is looking forward to starting his year at the high school. Chayton just can't wait period. He is still young enough that school is the greatest thing. He starts first grade this year. I didn't realize how sobering it was to have your oldest child (my oldest, hubby's second oldest) start high school. It is bad enough that my step-son has already graduated high school.
It seems like time flies so fast. Soon I am not going to have any kids at the house. Wow, that is a scary thought. I won't know what to do with myself. Ok, so it is a long way off. It just doesn't feel like it.

Eh, enough of that. Pretty soon I will be thinking all sorts of maudlin thoughts. I really should get to bed. Trying to get on a schedule, so I can get up and take the kids to school.
