Ugh! I was supposed to do so many things this weekend and I feel as if I've done nothing except sleep and read and hang out with the commuting cat who is here this weekend. But when I checked my to do list I appear to have done a lot more that I thought. Which is good? I really did want to finish rewriting the end of that DC fic I was working on. I guess I should print it out and do it on the train tomorrow. I'm so close to finishing it, dammit.
I want to flail about comics all the time but I don't know many people who are reading the same things as me. I'm oddly nervous of friending people in the comics fandom, I'm not sure why. Red Robin and Batgirl are definitely my happy place and I'm now all caught up with them. Tim's thoughts on his love life or lack of it are hilarious and improbable. And Tam continues to be brilliant. The new virtual Red Robin suit is so much of an improvement. It's very influenced by the most recent Nightwing suit and even has the finger stripes! Yum. I really hope they use that design in the future because you get to see his hair. I'm not a fan of full cowl, it looks wrong without bat ears.
And yes that is the Joker in a Robin suit in the foreground.
Batgirl was as fun as ever. This week's issue involved a Steph & Damian team-up and I was going to post scans but they were already up at scans-daily. I felt so sorry for Damian - he has no idea how to be an actual kid. Damian going undercover in a school was one of the storylines I really wanted to see - and I almost got it. Also does anyone else ship Steph and Detective Nick? I think they adorable together and I'm dying to see where that storyline is headed.
Steph: What's in the bag, Detective?
Nick: Your boomerang--
Steph: --Batarang
Nick: You realize that sounds more ridiculous, right?
Steph: Ridiculously awesome.

I also read Battle for the Cowl and the less said about that the better. The characterisation is as bizarre as I'd heard, although it was more readable than I'd anticipated from the reviews, but I will read ANYTHING that involves Robins at the moment and that had all five of 'em.
