Laurence Fox made me late for work this morning...

I think this must be some kind of rite of passage for people living in Oxford. I ended up being late for work this morning because they were filming Lewis across one of the roads I walk along. I'm pretty used to people filming things - it seems to happen every other week at work and I usually just ignore it but Laurence Fox was actually standing in the doorway of the coffee shop where I'd planned to buy breakfast. Luckily it was only the second-to-last potential breakfast place en route and I got something at Café Nero without having to queue for too long.

Happy belated birthday to mskatej and spectralbovine! I hope you both had wonderful days.

I am so ridiculously addicted to the DCU at the moment. I've been reading comics, watching the movies and cartoons and reading fanfic like a crazy person. Thank you innerbrat, I will be squeeing at you very soon because wow, Steph as Batgirl is adorable and awesome, and I love her just as much as Babs and Cass. I'm saving the Batwoman comics for a rainy day because I know that they will be good and I'm going through things way to fast.

I've almost read all of the Birds of Prey because my local library seems to have all the trades (except the second one for some reason) and it makes so much more sense now. It is so weird reading things that I read two years ago (or even two weeks ago) and having things fit together because I'm so much more familiar with the canon and I actually recognise the people and know about the events being referred to.

I know I said that I wasn't going to get emotionally invested - but I've completely failed. I've fallen for all the Batfamily all in their messed up glory. My favourite person changes every day in a random cycle depending on what I've been reading - today it is Damian Wayne, the fifth and current Robin - he is inexplicably lovable in a scary, homicidal and stabby way. I mean, who could resist this face? :DDDD
