Where Has All the Pink Gone?

There I was, drinking a Code Red Mountain Dew to wash down the delicious mixture of marshmallow, graham cracker, and chocolate that filled my mouth when it hit me. Just think of all the pink that is lost! All the pink shirts that were outgrown and thrown into a trash heap never to be seen again, the pink yogurt that was devoured by a person who didn't even care! I mean, doesn't eatting pink yogurt mean something? When did people stop caring? And that's just the start of it. How many skeins of pink yarn get lost in shipping, how much pink paint has been poured down a drain? It seems like all the water in the world should be pink. It breaks my heart. I wish people cared more about pink hair ribbons, heart tatoos, and turtle necks. I wish people would act on their crafty pink ideas, instead of letting them slip away like sand through open fingers. How much pink has been lost because people didn't have the courage to make something pink? So much! So much pink has passed from the world, and I'm the only one that cares. The only one! I wish people would stop hating pink and embrass it with love; it's what pink stands for! Pink is the color of love, friendship, and happiness. Can't people see that? Why do they cringe every time they see a pink sweatshirt, or pink wall paper, or the little pink fingers of an infant? Infant fingers are adorable! But no one cares that they are pink, only that they are small and little and innocent! Pink is left out of the equation. Well, I don't hate pink. I open my heart to it, and I want everyone to know that I am grateful for everything I see that is pink.
