Right now my work is all body memory and zero brain. With this free time, my brain has gone on some strange journeys. Later this weekend will be a visual example but let me share this with you for now.
Picture if you will a ren faire act that fuses the music of Ireland and Scotland with, of all things, funk. Yes my friends I am talking about none other than Geordie MacClantain and
Dáil Éireann- FunkyGaelic, or in short- Piobaireachd, led by the charismatic Count Faincuiladh
in his vividly coloured checky tunic, spikey limed hair and woad a plenty. Feel good funk tunes played at a lilting cadence on traditional Irish and Scots instruments and percussion with a break in the middle for the haunting 13 minutes of MacGit Brain, as played with the rhythm arpeggios on harp and the lead on uilleann pipes, or if those pipes can't produce the notes, then several tin whistles perhaps. Somewhere in the show would be the showdown between Starbairn clad only in a kilt and Sir Britdevoid O'Stout. Of course the finale would be inviting lassies from the audience to dance with the band on stage during "Kneedeep in the Ceilidh"
