It is with most feverent passion that I write this letter to you dear sir. As we all know you are a fan of Dostoyevsky's Crime and Punishment. It has been blatently thrown in our faces many a time in a series of your films, most notably "Crimes and Misdemeanors". It seems that you are discontent in the way that Fyodor decided to end his tale. Do you really feel that after one commits such a heinous act such as murder that he or she can live with themselves? This being said with concideration that the culprit is not a psychopath. I have seen Match Point and yet again you have let the villan go free, much like in "Crimes and Misdemeanors". In both settings the act has been a crime of passion, although one situation was far more personal than the other. This time you use luck as your leverage. I wish that I didn't agree with your perspective. Murder is gotten away with everyday and not all ill deeds go punished. Just as all good deeds do not reap benifits. Many things do come down to chance. I began this with the intent of rambling for much longer but it's about time I take a rest. In this particular film I expected a lot of what you showed me, but somehow you made it feel new, same window different visual perhaps. It all does make me wonder what demons you face on a daily basis though.
Till next time Mr.Allen, till next time.
