Work rant, you might not want to read.....Enter if you dare
I forgot that I had to be in at 8am this morning, so I overslept and got a phone call at 9am. So at least, dressed, make-up on and there by 9:20 was pretty damn good. However it really irks me that the executive secretary had to call me. Yeah, it's the promotion I got passed for and it was given to the barmaid with almost no office experience who is a temp and smokes pot. Yeah. Nice huh. She's cute and 10 years younger. I guess you don't have to know your job around here to get a promotion. And of course she screwed up my time card. So instead of 10 hours of the overtime I worked, I got paid for one. Because she decided it isn't her job to go over the time cards. Yes, it is our responsiblity to make sure it is right, but it is *her* responsibility to make sure the days listed match the total hours at the top. If changes have to made, it is *her* job to give it back to the employee. She tells me she isn't like Dawn and just doesn't have the time to waste. I guess you could say she was telling me she just doesn't manage her time well enough to be able to her job correctly. So now she is having to send in an ajustment. I should get it by Monday or Tuesday.
Whatever. I wouldn't have such a hard time with her getting the position if she didn't walk around me like a queen bee. So she works in Dawn's office. Fine. So I've been here longer. Fine. I actually like what I do more as I get to see and interact more with the students. If I had that position, I would no longer be able to do that. I'm a little pissed no one else was considered for the position though. I'm the only person that knows she is trying to get a possession of marijuana charged expunged from her record. Yeah, a few years ago, the police had to come to her house. She wouldn't tell me why of course. Just that it was promised it would be expunged from her record and it wasn't. Yeah, this is who they chose to train and promote without looking at anyone else. Oh, he sent an email to everyone saying the position was open and anyone interested could apply for it, but Rachel was already trained, in that office, (Dawn hadn't left yet) and telling everyone she had the job. The amount of training that has to be done for that position, there is no way once the bitch was that far along, anyone else would be considered. So yeah, trying to apply for it would serve no purpose. I wish I were the type of person who would go to the boss with information that was told to me in confidence. Actually she has pissed me off with the time card thing enough to do that. If I could prove it, I would. LOL.....I'd better never get proof. She'd be in trouble.
