【星コミ】Ryou：Chapter 1, part 1
Okay, moving right along~ The first character route I'm trying for is Ryou, hence his name at the beginning of the title chapter listing. I'll do the same for the other characters once I eventually get to their routes.
So anyways, here's my translations for the first part of Chapter 1. Part 1 was originally supposed to cover from the Chapter Title page up to the beginning of your first Free Mode, but it was getting kinda long. Like 20+ pages and counting on a Word doc with the tiniest margins possible. Yeah, that's a LOT of code! So now I'm breaking it into two smaller parts, though it saddens me a bit (originally would have covered all character introductions; now will be 3 & 3). This first part will now go until the end of your first Comic Mode.
Some notes, translator's and otherwise:
1. I had to take a stab at the romanizations of some names, including Kiryuu-senpai (whom I discussed in the Prologue post), KanaRia (orig. カナリア; the shoujo magazine that you affiliate with; found its name on an image they show you later), and Sheer Glacé (orig. シルグラッセ; Ryou's family's confectionary chain; I went fine-combing through every French dictionary I could get my hands on, and nothing makes sense with the "shiru" pronunciation, so I mixed it with English. Why French? You'll see the reasons later in the game~).
2. I included my own reactions/comments to the game dialogue (infrequently, but still) within the translations. Why? Because I enjoy reading other people's who do something similar and I wanna have fun with this if I'm gonna do it, and because it helps explain things in a few places. They're centered, whereas everything else in left-justified, so you can ignore them if you wish.

Alright! We’ve reached our first choice of the game! Okay, let me explain something first: each of the first 6 chapters of the game are dedicated to each of the 6 chaseable characters. Chapter 1 is dedicated to Ren (ironic, since Ren is not officially chaseable until after you’ve completed the best possible endings for any two of the other characters), Chapter 2 is Todoroki-sensei, Ch3 = Kyouichi, Ch4 = Hibiki, Ch5 = Kanzaki, and Ch6 = Ryou. After those, then, depending on who you have the most points with, your fate is sealed! character ending is determined, or something like that. Haven’t gotten that far myself yet, not entirely sure. There’s also potential for Rival Endings, or something like that. Anyways, during each chapter, depending on the Ch#/Character from the list above, that’s the person you spend the most time with / have the potential to score points with based on your selections. I’m also of the understanding that doing well in Comic Mode will also score you bonus points with people. In this case, since I’m going after Ryou, I chose the “DASH OFF TO WORK BEFORE MY BOSS KILLS ME” option, as opposed to the “BLESS YOUR FACE FOR DRIVING ME!!!” option.

（・∀・ ） What’s this?? An otome game with MINI-GAMES??? Alright! Time for our first-ever Comic Mode! Okay, at least in my limited searches, I have yet to find a guide explaining how the heck to work these things, and I’ve seen hints that better scores here can earn you bonus points with the other characters, so the lack of guides is a major letdown… So I will at least explain what the heck you should be doing! Thankfully, there’s a save point right before this…you may find the need to reset until you achieve your desired scores. Each Comic Mode has 3 different mini-games (some of which can include multiple rounds), and the tasks can vary between Comic Modes. Each Chapter has 2 sets of Comic Modes, the second of which is usually played under the supervision of the Chapter’s featured character (hence the supposition that doing well earns more points with them). Complete each set of games within the time limit, and BE THOROUGH! I’ve nearly run out of time because I’d missed a couple pixels in the corner… Shoot for straight “EXCELLENT”s~ And DON’T BE AFRAID TO FAIL! There’s always the option to replay until you nail it!
On a side note, I’m not sure if these mini-games have actual names/titles or not, so I will make some up just for the sake of telling them apart.
✎ GAME 1 : Rough Drawing - (3 rounds) Move your stylus over the outlined space in the center of your touch screen to uncover the image. [MY ADVICE: Follow the direction of the lines to uncover them faster, though this may not work best in the more elaborate frames, like the third round’s window pane which fills the entire box.]
✎ GAME 2 : Panel Outlines - (3 rounds) Trace your stylus along the gray outline to draw the panel borders without lifting the stylus in the process. [MY ADVICE: Try to stay in the center of the gray line; if part of a line is only partially uncovered, it won’t count as finished until you go back and uncover the rest! But, you get way more time than I ever found necessary to do this one, so feel free to take your time and do it right. Keep in mind that if you lift your stylus or leave the gray line, you will have to start over and your timer will NOT reset!]
✎ GAME 3 : Sweep Away - (1 round) Brush the eraser shavings off screen with your stylus. [MY ADVICE: Ugh… I had such problems with this one… They don’t give you nearly enough time for this… It took many tries, a lot of trial and error, and several frustrated tears, but I found the best way to rid yourself of these tiny annoying feather thingies is long, quick strokes. Come all the way from the opposite end of the screen if you have to! At an angle, even!]
After you’ve completed these 3 tasks, if you did well enough, your final image should look like this:
Afterwards, you’re presented with two options: the first is to [Try Again], the second is [Finished]. Feel free to try again if you were unsatisfied with your results, the games will follow the same structure, but keep in mind that the images each round will change each time you replay this way. If that doesn’t suit your fancy, try restarting from your save point and having another crack at the first set!

Alright! We’ve reached our first choice of the game! Okay, let me explain something first: each of the first 6 chapters of the game are dedicated to each of the 6 chaseable characters. Chapter 1 is dedicated to Ren (ironic, since Ren is not officially chaseable until after you’ve completed the best possible endings for any two of the other characters), Chapter 2 is Todoroki-sensei, Ch3 = Kyouichi, Ch4 = Hibiki, Ch5 = Kanzaki, and Ch6 = Ryou. After those, then, depending on who you have the most points with, your fate is sealed! character ending is determined, or something like that. Haven’t gotten that far myself yet, not entirely sure. There’s also potential for Rival Endings, or something like that. Anyways, during each chapter, depending on the Ch#/Character from the list above, that’s the person you spend the most time with / have the potential to score points with based on your selections. I’m also of the understanding that doing well in Comic Mode will also score you bonus points with people. In this case, since I’m going after Ryou, I chose the “DASH OFF TO WORK BEFORE MY BOSS KILLS ME” option, as opposed to the “BLESS YOUR FACE FOR DRIVING ME!!!” option.

（・∀・ ） What’s this?? An otome game with MINI-GAMES??? Alright! Time for our first-ever Comic Mode! Okay, at least in my limited searches, I have yet to find a guide explaining how the heck to work these things, and I’ve seen hints that better scores here can earn you bonus points with the other characters, so the lack of guides is a major letdown… So I will at least explain what the heck you should be doing! Thankfully, there’s a save point right before this…you may find the need to reset until you achieve your desired scores. Each Comic Mode has 3 different mini-games (some of which can include multiple rounds), and the tasks can vary between Comic Modes. Each Chapter has 2 sets of Comic Modes, the second of which is usually played under the supervision of the Chapter’s featured character (hence the supposition that doing well earns more points with them). Complete each set of games within the time limit, and BE THOROUGH! I’ve nearly run out of time because I’d missed a couple pixels in the corner… Shoot for straight “EXCELLENT”s~ And DON’T BE AFRAID TO FAIL! There’s always the option to replay until you nail it!
On a side note, I’m not sure if these mini-games have actual names/titles or not, so I will make some up just for the sake of telling them apart.
✎ GAME 1 : Rough Drawing - (3 rounds) Move your stylus over the outlined space in the center of your touch screen to uncover the image. [MY ADVICE: Follow the direction of the lines to uncover them faster, though this may not work best in the more elaborate frames, like the third round’s window pane which fills the entire box.]
✎ GAME 2 : Panel Outlines - (3 rounds) Trace your stylus along the gray outline to draw the panel borders without lifting the stylus in the process. [MY ADVICE: Try to stay in the center of the gray line; if part of a line is only partially uncovered, it won’t count as finished until you go back and uncover the rest! But, you get way more time than I ever found necessary to do this one, so feel free to take your time and do it right. Keep in mind that if you lift your stylus or leave the gray line, you will have to start over and your timer will NOT reset!]
✎ GAME 3 : Sweep Away - (1 round) Brush the eraser shavings off screen with your stylus. [MY ADVICE: Ugh… I had such problems with this one… They don’t give you nearly enough time for this… It took many tries, a lot of trial and error, and several frustrated tears, but I found the best way to rid yourself of these tiny annoying feather thingies is long, quick strokes. Come all the way from the opposite end of the screen if you have to! At an angle, even!]
After you’ve completed these 3 tasks, if you did well enough, your final image should look like this:
Afterwards, you’re presented with two options: the first is to [Try Again], the second is [Finished]. Feel free to try again if you were unsatisfied with your results, the games will follow the same structure, but keep in mind that the images each round will change each time you replay this way. If that doesn’t suit your fancy, try restarting from your save point and having another crack at the first set!
