it's a toss up with the white people thing. yeah, sux that everybody is acting like burns invented transformation or something. on the other hand i cringe every time some one mentions how "native cultures ..." fill in your own generalization, but make sure it's not tribally specific and it lumps a bunch of people together and simplifies their beliefs to the point of trivialization. scary shit. but at least then the zit is ready to pop, i guess. i mean, then it can be talked about because it's on the table and obvious.
also, you know, people have not done the antiracism work they need to do. but how do you bring that up? maybe in the evaluation i will mention the need for such a thing. it's like spiritual work in that we all need to do it and it's not necessarily a given that folks have gone there.

You know, when I was younger I wanted to be a writer when I grew up. I wanted to do fiction. As my daughter's 2nd grade teacher said, writing is interesting when using the juicy words. I think I am going to have to find a way to incorporate those juicy words into my leadership metaphors. I feel like at times, I skate the line in my responses between pure honesty and making some sort of smart ass remark.
Can you tell that I am a little tired? I need sleep, a good 7 hour stretch.
