funny things that happened today at work
1. sokwat (one of my coworkers) was working on decorations for summer reading club, and accidentally poured rubber cement all over his hands. he tried to wash it off, then tried rubbing it off, then reached for the rubber cement thinner - but actually picked up the rubber cement, and poured it all over his hands AGAIN. (ironically, the rubber cement is in the same size and shape can as the thinner.)
2. angela (another coworker) was looking for a computer in the back room to use. sokwat was still logged in his with a picture of wood up on the screen (he printed off the wood picture to easily make "planks" for our treasure chest and pirate ship decorations). but what angela told me was, "i can't use that computer because sokwat's wood is still up."
3. at the end of the day, we were sending out the last of our reserves, and i noticed that the dvd "eight crazy nights" had a christmas sticker on it. doesn't that seem a bit.. wrong? we laughed and quickly changed it to a "jewish holiday" sticker.
i'm excited for this weekend - it's nice to be completely done with school. i'll have to start amping up the job search now that i have more time to dedicate to it. the sooner i find a job, the better jared and i will be able to plan where we're going to live come september.
this summer should be fun. i'm really looking forward to spending lots of time with friends and family. bill and i are already starting to think about our birthday party! i'm so pumped for boston, and i really hope i get to see erica raber while i'm there. i'm also going to see wicked in july, which is really exciting! i haven't finished the book yet, but i should soon enough. let's see, what else? jared is having his annual memorial day picnic, so hopefully we'll get to see a lot of people there. we're also making plans to see poison in concert at the end of june with daphne, and i will *hopefully* get to see the barenaked ladies in cleveland the week before that. i also want to go to the ohio state fair, and cosi, and the dublin irish festival... too much stuff! if i get to do half of it, i'll be happy.
time to go watch some bullshit - jared and i are finishing up season 3. too bad that the library doesn't have season 4 yet - i'll have to find it elsewhere.
