Biography:
Do Kyungsoo grew up in a family who are all professionals in the medical field. His father’s a respected neurosurgeon, his mother a dedicated E.R. head nurse, and his older brother a promising anesthesiologist. So it was pretty clear from the moment he was born that everyone expected him to follow their family’s footsteps.
Kyungsoo was already exposed to the daily life in the hospital since he was a kid. When there was no one around to take care of him after school, he would usually stay inside his father or brother’s clinic until one of them goes off shift and take him home. While every kid was playing outside, running around the park and getting dirty and sweaty with their friends, Kyungsoo spend most of his time reading anatomy books and memorizing the different surgical instruments that were displayed inside his father’s study room. At times, when he gets bored, he’d wander off to the E.R. where her mother was stationed, and watch their daily routines on how they handle patients ranging from mild to severe cases. One would think that this kind of setting of raising a child would make Kyungsoo hate the said field and act out as he gets older; however, Kyungsoo learned to love it instead. He was fascinated of the thought of being able to save people’s lives and aiding them throughout their recovery, as well as the intense and demanding environment the field offers. You couldn’t imagine how happy his parents were when he told everybody in his class during parents day that he wanted to be a doctor when he grows up.
A few more years had passed, Kyungsoo’s dream still remained intact. After graduating from high school, he immediately applied for Yonsei University where he eventually got accepted and took up Pediatric Nursing as his pre-medicine course. With that, the track to his journey in becoming a doctor was finally set .
Kyungsoo didn’t really plan on joining in any fraternities in the beginning. He deemed it unnecessary on the course he was taking in his future. However, during one archery practice session when he was still a freshman, he almost killed a man when he accidentally slipped and shot the arrow toward their direction. Luckily though, the arrow missed the person’s head by an inch. Kyungsoo apologized profusely to the man, which he later learned was a member of KAO. The said man asked him to join the KAO fraternity in exchange for his forgiveness. Kyungsoo, feeling really guilty for almost killing him, accepted the offer in the end. So far, Kyungsoo’s enjoying the life of the Greek.
Personality:
Kyungsoo would describe himself as a quiet and serious person. He spends more time observing from a distance rather than actually putting himself in the center of all the action. He sometimes would come off as cold and distant to other people. But once he starts getting comfortable around you, his bright, playful and mischievous personality would usually come out and play.
Kyungsoo doesn’t easily get scared. He spent most of his childhood walking down dark, creepy hospital corridors, and seeing blood, guts, sick, decapitated, dying and dead people that he thought there’s nothing in the world that could possibly scare him anymore. His brother had even joked that his fear center might have already been damaged after spending too much time in the hospital with them.
Kyungsoo would admit he has a bit of a temper. He may laugh at your antics, probably join you in the fun as well if he feels like it, but once it gets really annoying or you wouldn’t stop after his first warning, he won’t hesitate to give you a nice hard punch in the arm. Don’t underestimate him though. He might be small but he’s way stronger than he looks. Also, height is a sensitive topic for him. He doesn’t really like people pointing it out to him. It’s not his fault that everyone else decided to be taller than him. He’s also a bit of a neat freak. He doesn’t really like mess and wouldn’t hesitate to nag at anyone who causes mess in the house.
