Oh my, these are ridiculously cute

Thanks to cagekitten for the link. This page made even me smile. It reminded me of a family story...
When my grandfather returned from serving in WWII he was a hardened Marine with little room for nonsense of any kind. When the family cat had a litter of kittens, he was all business- there simply wasn't food or money to spare to feed them. My mom and her siblings cried and sobbed for their kitties, but he would hear none of it. He put them in a gunny sack, threw them in the back of the truck and headed to the river to get rid of them.
An hour later they saw the truck pull back into the driveway. He got out, pulled the sack out of the back of the truck, threw it over his shoulder and walked up to the house. He came in and set the sack on the floor by the door. The kids were surprised to see him lift a fist to his eye and disgustedly dab away a tear. "Damn cats!" he sniffed, then headed out back to his workshop.
From out of the sack there came a wiggling, furry, squirming flurry as an entire litter of fuzzy little kitties crawled out onto the living room floor, my grandfather the only one any worse for wear.
