Okay, I think Sundays are a good time to post recommendations. (Yes, I know it's officially Monday now, but it's not yet in Hawaii! XD)
Recommendations:
Five Times the Doctor's Hearts Didn't Break (and one time they did) by
fannishliss - Broke my heart each and every one. Worth it.
Five Times Rose Tyler Wore the Doctor's Clothes (And the One Time He Wore Hers) by
amberfocus - A beautiful mix of fluff, mush, angst, and humor. Mostly humor really. Good way to recover from
fannishliss'. ;)
His Religion by
charlottetrips - 'Twas my first Rory/Amy fic (okay, it still is). Perfect allusion to The God Complex; angst-fulled. Again, worth it.
Let's not forget the wonderful in-progress fic I'm reading by
CharmingSlayer AKA
lumendea. Third in her
Guardians of the Universe series is
The Companion Connection. It's currently on chapter 9 and she's a fast updater. Seriously, she is my hero. I wish I could update my fics that quickly!
...Okay, I didn't read that many fics this week... My brain was busting out three one-shots in the span of 3-4 days, what do you expect? I'm reading another fic by CharmingSlayer, but I haven't finished it yet. Let's face it, though, I'll be recommending it as soon as I do. I'll wait though. I am determined to finish it before the end of this week! Also, I need to get up-to-date on
bad_wolf_rising's entries! I still have all those Halloween fics to read!
Once Upon a Time:
WHY ARE ALL THE BLOODY PRINCESSES MAKING DEALS WITH RUMPELSTILTSKIN?!?!?! He looks so creepy! Now, I know that one shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but seriously?! He killed Cinderella's godmother! He wants her baby!
Overall, I really did like Cinderella's story; their Storybrooke story is also full of angst and fluff. Happy beginning here! It was so AW!
EMMA, EMMA, OH EMMA! WHY DID YOU TELL "MR. GOLD" YOU OWED HIM A FAVOR?!
The reason why I'm so worked up is because THE NEXT EPISODE ISN'T FOR ANOTHER TWO WEEKS!!! Also... THE SHERIFF IS THE "MAYOR'S" (EVIL QUEEN) BOY TOY! I liked the Sheriff and I did suspect something at the beginning, but I was hoping I was wrong. I was in denial until the final scene. So not fair. I wonder what his angle is in all this...
I can handle a week, but two?! Bleh.
On a bright note: I really, really love everyone's wardrobe in the 'flashback' scenes when they're still living their fairy tale lives. I'm never picky about that except with the princesses outfits. I've wanted to dress up as Belle since I was little and my mother let me because it was always too cold and then when I could decide for myself and have my request be respected, the versions of Belle's dress are...well, pink bows? Really?! :( I wish I was a little better at sewing.
