Smoke And Mirrors

Second interview went well. Should find out this week if anything is to come of it.

Ripped up more floorboards. This time for the laying down of a tv aerial. Good thing I’m getting new carpets as the ones I have are slowly being cut up for where we need to get to the floorboards.

On the cinema this week was I’m Not Scared and Deep Blue. The first was an Italian film about a boy who discovers that his parents and their friends have kidnapped a boy for ransom. A good well acted film, especially from the predominately young cast. The second film is footage that never made it into the BBC series of the Blue Planet. And because of this it comes across as fragmented and the voice over by Michael Gambon was slightly pointless but still some of the scenes are worth the price of admission alone. My favourite having to be the hundreds of male penguins in sub zero weather and hundred mile an hour winds doing their impersonation of a Roman Testudo. Oh and the dolphins playing in the water. Now I need to seek The Blue Planet because if there is one thing the BBC can do, it is make nature documentaries.

The only other thing of note was Elvis taking bath. Elvis bathes once every several years. So you can imagine how dirty he gets. Now the thing about Elvis you have to understand is that he is kinda crazy. If you ever saw his eyes you’d know what I mean, they just scream drug fiend. That’s not to say he’s isn’t charming when he wants to be. Many a time have I had to kick him out of my bed as he makes the moves on my girl. But I digress. I’m not sure if Elvis likes baths. The moment he got in it started to thunder and lightning and the whole time he has been in my kitchen drying off (he calls it sunbathing), which has been several days, the weather outside has been wet and windy. I think he made some sort of deal with the gods that while he is wet so is London. Oh Elvis is a bear, in case you are wondering. A clean if still slightly wet drug fiend of a lady’s bear.

I think I may take up Kendo.
