A long weekend made of awesome!

Anyway, weekend of fun... and stuff.
Friday was kids day at Faire. Not as scary as I thought it would be, but the kids were definitely rude, disrespectful, and for the most part completely apathetic. A little disheartening, but as I understand it, it was actually an improvement when compared to recent years.
But we survived! And when it ended, the fun actually started. We headed over to the Doubletree, and after a bit of settling in, and a trip to Trader Joe's for provisions, we hit the hot tub. That, I say, is how to end a day of Faire. There were girly good times... and other stuff. And I finally got to meet juice_weasel in person. We seemed to have a second wind after lights-out, and yes, there was a small pillow fight. Eventually some sleep happened.
Saturday was great. In addition to all of the regular fun of the day, we got to see the beautiful handfasting of atypcl_blustokn and batosai. The whole thing was awesome and gorgeous. And when their ridiculously cool cake is on TV, whenever that happens to be (someone let me know), I'll post it.
divastar089 mock-disgraced herself as a reveler, so we handed her over to the, ahem, "ladies" of the Bell. And when all was said and done, there was more hotel fun to be had. Again with the hot tub, and then... more girl talk. Lots of girl talk. Yeah, we should do that more often. A whole room full of May Court. Good times.
People I know came to play this weekend, not sure who all did so, but I hardly got to see them. Hopefully they'll come back again before the end of the run.
Even after a particularly long weekend, and even with the soreness and need for recovery time, I'm still disappointed that it's over. And worse, we only have 3 weekends left!!! I'm not ready to be over halfway done with Faire season! I freakin' love it there!
