To locals and semi-locals...
Thinking about a party.
Okay, as you know, Kurt and I will be moving to Oregon this summer. We were thinking that it would be fun to have a fairly large gathering of friends from various parts of our lives as one last chance to see everyone before we take off.
So here's my question, who would likely be able to make it to such an event?
Probably a Saturday afternoon into the evening, probably May 23rd, if I can swing it. The reason I ask is that I need to know how large a space we would need, and it's kind of hard to plan appropriately. A lot of times people are excited about something but can't make it, or don't seem interested and then show up anyway, and we end up with a disproportionately sized venue. This time, since everyone we know is invited, we could be looking at putting money into renting a large space. I don't want to rent space and then find out that the party would have been able to fit in my house.
Oh, and like I said, everyone is invited, so while I'll be posting this to several places, it might not reach people. Do feel free to let me know if someone who may not see this would want to be present.
