Lots of photos

Some pictures for your enjoyment. Bear in mind that Michael's still very new to this digiscoping lark, and to be fair our scope is on the cheap and nasty side, so a lot of these are somewhat out of focus. But as you'll see, they are shots we'd never have got if he'd just been using the camera.

Fulmar. Note the weird tubes on its beak.

Fulmar again.

Kittiwake

Pair of fulmars.

Same again.

Bridled guillemot, flanked by guillemots with the more usual colouring.

And again. They have cute faces, remind me a bit of penguins.

Cliff face, with black and white guillemots and grey and white kittiwakes. The three guillemots in a row about half-way up are the three in the previous two pics.

Kittiwake nest, with two eggs.

Pathetic nest really, it's just a clump of dried out-seaweed.

And again.

Cliff face further on - you can see hundreds of birds on the cliff face if you look closely. The next close-up bird shots are of birds on this same cliff.

Gannet.

Gannet with chick.

Slightly better view of the chick.

South Landing, very pretty.

And the view in the other direction.

Pete attempting to hatch out his chicks. Taken especially for Jan.

From left to right: Pete, Rosie, Dave, Diane, Corinna, me, and Keith.

Lovely little path through the woods.

And again.

A rather battlescarred but beautiful peacock butterfly.

Avocet feeding. These shots look quite dull as the sky was black at the time, full of storm clouds.

Avocet preening.

Oystercatcher on one leg having a strop at a completely indifferent shelduck.

Same oystercatcher.

Very blurred, but included because it's the only one we got of the cute brownish black-headed gull chicks. There's a parent in the middle, and another avocet towards the front.

Common toad.

Gadwall feeding in the rain. Another blurred shot, but I liked the mood of this one.

Similar shot once the rain had stopped.

A family of coots, with the chicks still in the cute stage. they become very very ugly later on.

And finally the same family.
