He hears the door of the apartment close gently, footsteps padding lightly along the carpeted corridor. His breath stills for a moment as his heart skipped at the possibility of the new visitor being him. Setting the ladle aside, he quickly switched the stove off, covered the pot of kimchi stew he’d been cooking up for Changmin, and then scooted over impatiently towards the living room before halting in his track abruptly.

It couldn’t be him, could it? He should still be filming his drama. The other 4 of them are out mingling with the staff…which means that it’s an intruder?

Jaejoong’s heart skipped for the second time that night, but for an entirely different reason this time. He had thought that the person who entered the apartment might be Yunho, but since that didn’t make sense, it could only mean that someone, probably a burglar of some sort, had just broken in.

Tugging his hair in both frustration and fear at the same time, he made a grab at the wooden baseball bat and held it tightly in defense. He pricked his ears as he tried to pick up sounds that indicated the whereabouts of the intruder.

Yunho, Yunho, where are you?

His heart beat fiercely with increasing trepidation as his heart yearned for Yunho’s presence. If the said man was there, he was sure that nothing was going to happen to anyone. He needed Yunho’s security so badly at that moment, but quickly shook it aside as he realized it was near impossible when the man was miles away shooting scenes with the female lead he was insanely jealous of.

Locating a stool that was tucked neatly at the corner, Jaejoong mounted himself on it with much difficulty (his clumsy nature wasn’t something new). He was ready to ambush on the intruder once he walked by. When he heard sounds of someone ambling nearer, he swung the bat with as much as force as he could. As he was ready to whack off some head…

“Woah woah Joongie, watch out! What are you doing? Practicing for the next Olympic games?” Yunho stumbled backwards and landed on his bottom, his cashmere coloured bag splaying across the floor as some of its contents spilled out.

“I…I…Yunho?” Jaejoong stood on the stool in shock, his mouth gaping like a silly goldfish as he rubbed his eyes to make sure that he wasn’t seeing things. When he was clear that the image in front of him wasn’t a product of his imagination, the baseball bat slipped from his eyes as his legs turned jelly.

It was Yunho. The man he’d missed to bits for the past 3 weeks.

An indescribable feeling filled him, mixed with remnants of fear from just now, the bitterness from his missing of Yunho and the surge of relief, love, and happiness from finally seeing him. His legs gave way, and before he could yelp from crashing onto the floor, he found himself wrapped in a pair of comfortable, strong arms.

This, this is the embrace I so terribly miss…the feeling which I’d been playing over & over again inside my head every single time I thought about him.

Yunho steadied the both of them to feet, but kept his arms tightly snug around Jaejoong. When he first saw Jaejoong, he definitely did not expect this kind of ‘warm’ greeting. He was ready to joke and tease Jaejoong about being so silly, but now that Jaejoong was in such close proximity, all the thoughts of those left. They were now being replaced with the overwhelming feeling of his longing being fulfilled, one which he’d been dying to complete. He’d longed for Jaejoong’s warmth for weeks.

With one push, he brought Jaejoong’s head to rest lightly on his chest as he nuzzled Jaejoong’s back with his chin.

“You. I missed you, joongie.” Yunho pressed a light kiss at the back of Jaejoong’s head while Jaejoong kept silent. He still couldn’t believe that Yunho was back, and that there was no intruder and all; he was now safe and tight in Yunho’s arms.

“Y-y-u-nho? Is that really you?” Jaejoong stumbled over his words, tears already threatening to flow out of his eyes despite there being no distinct reason why.

“Yes, it’s me. I’m here, boo.” Yunho pulled back slightly to gaze into Jaejoong’s orbs, reassuring him that he was truly there. Rubbing his thumbs lightly over the feather light tears on Jaejoong’s porcelain face, he then planted a soothing kiss on Jaejoong’s lips.

The familiar velvety touch of Yunho’s lips on his made him lose it.  Jaejoong indulged in it, returning the kiss with a passionate urgency that was yet slow and endearing. He sucked on Yunho’s bottom lip before pulling back, his hot breath lingering over as his eyes remain closed.

When Yunho pulled back, too, they both slowly opened their eyes as they stood there, looking at each other into the eyes, divulging the immense longing for each other they’d harboured for weeks.

“I missed you too, Yunho. So much.” the smaller man whispered back, as his eyes began misting up with tears once again. It was too much to take; that the voice he’d only been hearing over the phone, the face he’d only been seeing through webcam, was there with him, all belonging to him right now.

Yunho smiled, his pearly whites revealing as he snuck his arms around Jaejoong’s waist and pressed their foreheads together.

“I know. I love you, boo.” Yunho chuckled with sudden cheekiness, breaking their tense moment. He had realized that Jaejoong was wearing his pants the wrong way round.

Startled by the sudden change in tone of Yunho’s voice, Jaejoong kept silent, wondering if something was wrong.

“Boo. I hate to be a spoilsport and say something like that now, but your pants…”

Jaejoong looked down, saw that his pants was worn the wrong way, and that his red boxers were peeking out from it.

“Maybe we should just take this business to our bedroom now? It’d be faster too, wouldn’t it?” Yunho continued teasing the already blushing Jaejoong.

He was so glad to be back. It’d been suffocating being away from Jaejoong, being unable to joke lightly with his boo, being unable to share warm, assuring hugs with him, and being unable to taste those pouty lips that tasted like cherry chapstick. Fondling lovingly at the pouting Jaejoong, Yunho intertwined his fingers with Jaejoong’s and pulled him towards the kitchen.

“I’m just joking, boo! I want to eat your kimchi stew, don’t think I can’t smell it!”
