Tony/Steve song, damn it all to gay hell

So I heard this song right?
Right.

Okay.

Well, I hate people who hold up stupid generic love songs and wave them around like THIS IS SOOOO ME LOL. Your feelings? Not special. I'm glad you've found something that speaks to you emotionally and that's very cool, but if your feelings can be summed up in a two-minute song that is mostly a repetitive chorus, at least admit to yourself that what you're feeling is normal, and not so unique that you need to hold it up to everyone like a drawing you want your mom to put on the fridge. Using other people's creative effort to express your individuality isn't bad, but I don't think it's something to take pride in.

This goes for people who point to songs for their preferred ships for similar reasons. THIS IS SOOO {Whoever/Whoever}.

Then I ran into "Tougher Than The Rest" which is making me eat those words with a side of humble pie and crow nugs.

I guess it's had a couple of covers by various people, one of which was Savage Garden (a musical duo that was a thing in the 90s and then became just Darren Hayes after he apparently ate the other guy, possibly in a stew). Being that Darren Hayes is a gay cannibal he likes to sing songs that are gay-friendly, which means his version has it to where the person the singer is referring to could also be a dude.

Being that I am currently way too excited about Steve Rogers/Tony Stark, this is obviously where my brain is going. I want to write about this song. I want to write stupid sappy falsetto-based fics about HOW OMG THIS SONG IS SO THEM BECAUSE EVERYONE ELSE IS NOT MAN ENOUGH and I am annoying the shit out of myself because only seriously mentally damaged people do exactly what I'm doing right now.

Seriously though, it's a cute song.
