English, Providence, Boston, Cambridge, and Summer

We did an activity in English last Friday, where the class split up into three "societies" and had to come up with rules and a flag and what they stood for. Our country was called "Orb Hour" and we stood for books, and brontosauruses, and freedom, and trees, and football, and education, and free speech, etc. Then, each group had to try to claim territory in the classroom, and it got wild. I mean, people were literally running around and punching each other, and in a few cases, like Leslie and Teresa, got physically picked up and moved. We also had to build bridges out of newspaper and tape that would support a thesaurus, and so one group sabotaged ours. We sabotaged back, and MM, being the pansy that he is, like, freaked out and was all serious. Ever heard of a competition, MM? A little competish? But everyone else was having fun, and it was absolutely insane.

I really want it to be summer. Right now. I'm in the process of applying to research programs at Boston University and the University of Michigan, and I really want to get in one of them. I seriously think it will be a once in a lifetime opportunity, and it will let me know for sure if biology is the way I want to go. We're going to Providence and Boston and Cambridge this weekend! I'm so excited, we're going to see Brown, Harvard, MIT, and Boston University. And I just found out the most amazing (tentative) news ever. It says on collegeboard.com that Brown and BU and MIT will accept the ACT with writing in place of the SAT and...get this...SAT Subject Tests! If this little tidbit is true, I will die. Die.
