It isn't *that* awkward to have an AOL email account... AOL has a web-based email service similar to Yahoo or Gmail. I have an account set up for my non- social networking needs.

On that note, I hope you weren't still using the dial-up service... I'm not sure if that still even exists.

Dial up service does still exist. I have been to visit some friends and have seen it first hand. It almost felt like one of those moments where you found out the urban myth was true. :-D
