Life
Ok, so I've not posted... in a long time. But I'm still alive! Since my last post I quit the one job and got another. The one job I got was... not ideal. The people were nice, mostly. But what I interviewed for and what they actually wanted were two entirely different animals. So, after stressing and coming home and not doing well overall for a month straight, I quit. I do clerical work - filing, data entry, letters, things like that. I do not do accounting, accounts payable, anything like that. I was trained and went to college for one, not the other. And while the two tracks are very similar, and even shared a lot of the same core classes in college, they are not the same. And while they said they could try and train me in what they wanted, they wanted it done quickly. Knowing I am no good at accounting, and that trying to learn "quickly" would just make things worse, I quit.
But I've got another job. It's not ideal, either, but not for the same reasons. I like the people I work with, I like the work I do, I just don't get very many hours. So... I might need to look for another job, but for now, things are going as good as they can and I don't want to stress and worry over other things right now.
Also, moving to another house in, like, two weeks. Same town, but hopefully a better, warmer house. With a nicer landlord.
