Once again...Rowling makes no sense

So...Rowling just released some new info on Pottermore over the Potter family. And it makes no senese whatsoever.

Why? Apparently, the Potter family ancestor is credited for creating the potions that would become Skele-Gro and Pepperup Potion. Also, Harry's grandfather created the Sleekeazy’s Hair Potion as well.

So, please tell me, then, if the Potter family has a history of potion makers, why in the world did Slughorn not mention this?!?! He purposely asked if Hermione was related to a famous potion maker that happened to also have the name Granger, but not once mention that Harry was descended from a family of talented potion makers!

And then there's Snape...you would think he would know of Harry's ancestor and grandfather were potion makers being the potion master! So why not insult Harry with this knowledge? Constantly bring up his family was filled with talented potion makers and how is not living up to the family name! I honestly think Rowling made up all of this at the last minute.

Then there's James' parents' names! Fleamont and Euphemia. Yes, you read that right. Fleamont and Euphemia. Euphemia, I'm not too bothered over. Fleamont, however... It's not because it's a funny name, it's because it does not fit with the naming theme of the Potter family. For example, the Weasleys are named after kings and queens or Arthurian names. The Prewetts also have a theme, mostly of saints and Biblical names. The Blacks, constellations (with the exception of Malfoy's mother).

Before today, there were three Potters that we knew about: Harry, James and Charlus. Charlus was on the Black Family Tree. Anyway, all three names are fairly common in the British royal family after the union of England and Scotland. I'm not sure how Charlus comes from Charles, but I'll count it. So I figured the naming theme for the Potter family were names from the British royal family.

Anyway, I've done my research and I know for certain that Fleamont has never been used by the royal family. So where in the world does Fleamont come from and why did Rowling think this was a good idea?!?!

I think I'm going to ignore this. Stick with my original backstory with James' parents being Charlus and Dorea, except I didn't make Dorea a Black, because I didn't want James and Sirius related by blood too closely, although Rowling's backstory does make my wish come true. Because even if I didn't like Fleamont, the potion background makes little sense with what's in the books. *shakes head*
