One of my favorite endings of Naruto is Michi ~ To You All (I don't think I really have a hated ending, but that's besides the point ^^;; ). Anyway, the concept in the show is Naruto in an Alternate World, a High School to be exact (don't read those fanfics, actually, don't like the concept, but this was interesting). Naruto is the new kid in school and, of course, shakes things up. Especially, with the local bullies. The ending then shows snapshots of things Naruto does, getting slapped by Sakura, fighting Neji, trying to block Soccer Star Rock Lee's goal, getting a love letter from Hinata, leaving a shouting Sakura in the rain and of course, his relationship with Sasuke.
In the end, the bullies kidnap Sakura, Hinata and Ino and beat Naruto up and the whole gang comes in to save the day. Group shot and finally, Sakura cuts her hair and lets it go. Song is pretty and the ending was wonderfully done.
However, it appears the studio released something new with their latest DVD. As in a whole story based off that ending! Hello, details!! XD Nice to meet ya!
So according to what's been translated on other sites (because it hasn't been uploaded and subbed yet), Naruto is new and wants to be a gang leader. Of course, he and Sasuke start fighting (it seems they kiss in this which is what started the whole thing, gee that sounds a lot like the 3rd episode...). Naruto and Hinata go out ON A DATE!!! *bounces off walls* Oh and the rest of their classmates follow them, I think.
Anyway, the story gets expanded beyond the Ending. Akatsuki tries to take over the school, Sai transfers in, Orochimaru and Kabuto try to lure Sasuke to their school (and succeeds, now excuse me while I go and laugh my head off at how they do it), Gaara, Kankurou and Temari show up, Gaara wants to be a gang leader as well.
And it seems there's a graduation ceremony where Naruto and Sasuke clash again. Oh and we find out why Sakura cut her hair. XP
See pics. You see now why I'm laughing over how Orochimaru lures Sasuke away. Oh. Dear. Goodness. XD Like I said, I'm not fond of High School AUs, but this might be well worth ignoring that dislike. XD
