Chakko no Gi Ceremony

Ugh I don't think I'm used to wearing turtlenecks. I only have two and the one I'm meaning right now is kind of choking me. I might change shirts. Too bad as the turtlenecks are my most dressy part of my winter clothing.

Anyway, Princess Aiko underwent a traditional ceremony today. It's called the Chakko no Gi Ceremony. It's a rite of passage a prince or princess takes to celebrate the passage from infancy to childhood. Princess Aiko turns five on Dec 1.
