Future of Naruto?
If I don't get this out of my head, I'll forget it all! That can't happen.
This is pretty much things I want to/wish would/believe will happen for the end of Naruto. I would like to think I have the basic idea down (mainly why I think this would happen this way and what order the arcs would happen), but sometimes I doubt it.
However, in the slightest chance I am right, this is going behind a spoiler tag.
I will warn you, however. I do not write down my thoughts very well. So I plan on this being very bare bone. No real details. No blow by blow retellings. Just what arcs are like, who vs. who and why. And some of my thoughts aren't really complete because I haven't daydreamed about it in detail yet or because I'm undecided about something. Also, because I'm a NaruHina fan, I'm also putting how that relationship will develop. Not too much, but enough for you to get the general idea.

End of Sasuke in Sound Arc
This arc will be Sasuke's return to Konoha.
Who will be involved?
Team Seven, Team Eight, Team Ten, Kakashi, Yamato and Sai (I'm still undecided on where Sai should be)
Why: We haven't seen Team 8 yet. So this is my hope for Team 8. Shikamaru has said he will help Naruto out next time and we haven't seen Ino and Choji in action, too. So there's my reasoning.
NaruHina Moment: I would really like some development here. This would be an excellent way to have Naruto and Hinata interact without hurting the storyline right now or making it feel awkward.
Major Battles
Naruto and Sakura vs. Sasuke
Why: Team 7 showdown. Likely no real decided winner. I go back and forth on what I think would happen. Sometimes I think Sasuke will realize something when he sees Naruto go four tail. Other times I think something would be revealed about Orochimaru which would cause Saskue to be angry. Either way: I have this one image in my head that I would love to see: Sasuke throwing down Kusanagi and rushing after Orochimaru.
NaruHina Moment?: If Naruto goes four tail, I think it would be pretty neat for Hinata to see this and call out to him. Naruto would hear this and (some way) calm down. Likely with Yamato's help. Granted, this is just my wish for a Forest of Death-like scene for NaruHina. ^^;;
Sasuke vs. Orochimaru
Likely a short fight. No winner because Orochimaru will retreat.
Sasuke Redeemed Arc
Short Arc. Sasuke has to redeem himself in some way to be accepted back as a ninja for Konoha. Yeah, Naruto, Sakura and Kakashi (and maybe some others) would accept him, but not the rest of the village so Sasuke has to do something to earn back the trust he broke.
NaruHina moment: Likely something small to show this is still going on, maybe a ramen stand moment where they talk about Sasuke?
SasuSaku hints abound? *hopes*
End of Akatsuki Arc or Rescue Naruto Arc
I have this vision of a Akatsuki smack down. :p
NaruHina moment: Really, this starts it off, in my mind at least, but it doesn't have to start like this. Hinata asks Naruto to meet her for something (she's planning to confront him with her feelings). While waiting, Naruto is attacked and kidnapped by Itachi and Kisame.
Who will be Involved
Everyone: Team Seven (minus Naruto), Team Eight, Team Ten, Team Gai, Kakashi, Kurenai, Gai, Yamato, Sai, Sand Siblings, Jiraiya.
This is where everyone will find out about Kyuubi in Naruto. I also think this will be a good arc for Naruto to find out people care about him (I'm thinking of Sakura getting worried for Naruto, but he thinks she's thinking about Gaara).
Major Battles
Sasuke and Sakura vs. Itachi
Sasuke ends it, kills Itachi, likely protecting Sakura. I also have this image in my head of Sakura punching Itachi in the face and sending him into a wall.
Remaining Konoha 12 Sand Siblings vs. Remaining Akatsuki
Why: I think that these guys are going to be legends so I think this will be a good way to start it.
Naruto, Gaara, Jonins? vs. Akatsuki Leader
Why: I think it would be fitting for Naruto and Gaara (the targets of Akatsuki) to bring down the leader. My super wish and what I daydream about tends to have the other Jinchuuriki being revived and they replace the Jonins, but that's just my daydream.
Another Daydream Note: This is the arc I am daydreaming about most right now (which is why this is longer than the others, I have the most details on it). Most of it consists of Naruto learning the meaning behind the seal on him (through a Spirit!Yondaime), which is what he uses to come back to life (because in my daydream, Akatsuki succeeds in getting Kyuubi and getting all-powerful through the rings, which results in Naruto's rescue team becoming punching bags for awhile) and fuses with the Kyuubi Chakra to fully control the four tails.
NaruHina Moment: Connected to above, Hinata ends up helping Naruto control the four tails by releasing a red Chakra build up with her Jyuuken. She also wakes Naruto (at least in spirit form) up with her voice and he tries to follow it to get out. *whistles innocently* Also, at the end of this arc, Hinata confesses, I think. I haven't gotten beyond them leaving the Akatsuki lair so I haven't envisioned that just yet.
Danzo Takeover/Orochimaru Tries Again Arc
This is the final arc I see for Naruto. There may be some more arcs before this (very likely because I think Naruto will gain control of the rest of the tails), but I don't know what they would consist of. It's also the most simple one because I haven't daydreamed it at all. And Danzo's plot point needs to be resolved.
This might be much longer than what I have here due to the political nature of this, but all I've thought of is the Team Seven vs. Orochimaru battle (this isn't much since all I've imagined is them rushing at Orochimaru, the climax of the battle).
Danzo tries to take over, likely with Orochimaru's help.
Major Battles
Konoha 12 shine again and they get their legend status.
Team Seven vs. Orochimaru
Why: This is why I think Orochimaru will be the final Enemy of Naruto. Orochimaru is part of the old Sannin while Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura are the new Sannin. It seems fitting to me that, in order to surpass the old, they defeat one of the old. To make it even more fitting, it'll show that the new Sannin, with their teamwork, their being together despite everything they went through, defeat Orochimaru, a member of the old Sannin that could not stay together.
It started with Team Seven, it ends with Team Seven.
I also think by this time, Naruto will gain control of all nine tails (gaining the last one/two with this battle). No Yamato interference needed.
Epilogue
Years after the final battle with Orochimaru. Last look at everyone. I see this showing the revealing of the Sixth face on the Hokage mountain and everyone gathering around to celebrate the first year with Naruto as Hokage.
Best line I've thought of for this:
Ino: "You guys haven't changed since you were twelve!" (referring to a bickering Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura) ^_^ Irony of it all, I doubt any of them (Konoha 12) have changed, sort of. In a matter of speaking. *laughs as she thinks of everyone teasing a Hokage Naruto*
Other things
I think one Akatsuki member will live and that'll be Tobi. Why, I have no idea. He doesn't seem like a S-Class nin at all and somehow, it seems fitting that the last member to join Akatsuki is the only one that stays alive. And no, I don't think Obito is Tobi.
Madara Uchiha, Kabuto and anything I have missed would get resolved in the above arcs, but since I haven't daydreamed about what secrets Kabuto has or who Madara Uchiha could be, I have no idea how they would be resolved. I've daydreamed about the Akatsuki arc most and everything else I just thought who would fought who and why.
So that's my thoughts on the future of Naruto. Somehow I doubt it's going to happen exactly like that. I just hope the battles end up in that way. Due to the reasons why I posted.
