Today marks the anniversary of the first appearance of a singularly nice person on the face of this world. Happy birthday,
glashund. May you have many more to fill our lives with your sunshine.
Updates, since I'm so terrible about posting here...
Deadlines are chewing my posterior, and not just writing ones, though I've had a few of those. Take a moment to check out the cover, blurb and excerpt for my newest project,
FAIRY TALES CAN COME TRUE. Who knew I could write contemporary? I just finished line edits and galley proofs so the manuscript is back in the hands of Ms. Editor 2.0. I should be getting a release date any time now. This is a novella and will be available in ebook form only.
FAERIE FATE continues to sell steadily, even hitting Amazon's Top 100 list in Time Travel Romances a couple of times, and has garnered some terrific reviews from Romantic Times magazine and the WW Book Club on Barbara Vey's BEYOND HER BOOK blog at Publishers Weekly.
RWA Nationals looms the end of the month. I'm setting up the National Readers Choice Awards reception and that's always a treat, especially since the whole conference had to be moved from Nashville due to the flooding and is now being held at The Swan and Dolphin Hotels, at the Mouse House in Orlando. I'm flying now, instead of driving, but it means I'll get to spend a few extra days near Tampa with
rancourt and
kiarrh.
I have SEASON OF THE WITCH out on submission. Keeping my fingers crossed there. While waiting to hear something, I'm also going to submit SHADOW DANCE and get back to work on FAERIE FOOL. So much to do. So little time.
The Only had what was hopefully her last eye surgery this week. The plastic surgeon is happy with the results but until the swelling, bruising and stitches go away, we won't know for sure. She also sees her glaucoma doctor next week. The cornea transplant surgeon had to reschedule and she now sees him in August. Unfortunately, my eye check-up was a bit disconcerting. I have beginning stages cataracts (yay for being older than dirt--NOT!) and the pressure is high in both eyes so the doc is watching to make sure I don't need to see a glaucoma specialist, too. Next check is in six months. Fingers crossed for good news. I did get some awesome new frames.
I think that's all the news fit to print at the moment. While I don't post here often, I am blogging daily over on
PENUMBRA and folks can always find me there. I twitter when I have a few extra moments but am rarely on Facebook beyond my tweets and the rare post here cross-posting. There are only so many hours in the day and I don't have enough of them! Take care everyone, have a happy and safe Canada Day and Fourth of July!
