The house was pretty much the same as IRL, except in the front yard there had been a large tree that I think was cut down before I bought it (in 2004). I had a memory of deciding to let it grow back.
At nighttime I had some friends over hanging out in the back yard. For some reason I walked through the house to the front and went outside to the porch, and I noticed that the tree in front was now almost taller than the 100-year old pecan in the back yard. In fact, the pecan was even huger than IRL, and both trees were flush with leaves, and looming over the house, almost intimidating in their presence. I went back inside. I think there were a couple people now in the kitchen.
IRL, months ago I got the two little hackberries cut down that had obscured the view of the ancient pecan. Soon after I went outside at night to get something, and saw the full tree unobstructed, with a full moon shining through its branches. It freaked me out a little, it was so grand in full view.
It'd be twice the size if it weren't for the power line at the back end of my property (the city trims it back) but it's a beautiful tree, with a gracefully sloping branch across the yard, along the sun's path.
Soon after I started collecting pecans that fell into the garden. They were all empty. I read that a parasite does that- inhabits the pecan shells and eats the meat, so they fall empty. Note to self to check that out more.
