So I watched Avatar today...

James Cameron's Titanic 2. I have shamelessly contributed to the already gross profit this man is making. The story is bad, but no one buys Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition for the articles now do they? Same thing. I just wish the line of thinking for a film lauded as revolutionary didn't have to be "well, it has to have lots of explosions or the special effects team will have nothing to show off--better make it about war and put some HIGHLY ORIGINAL anti-war subtext in there while we're at it".

Oh, well. Just watch it if you like looking at pretty pictures (I do).

Now for the inevitable...

Damn people infringing on personal space. Why? Why do you want to be this close to me? I typically stay as far away from people as I can manage at all times, but here I was literally being pushed away from the counter while paying for popcorn by some loud guy next in line drenched in the heavenly aroma of cigarette smoke. It's not going to make me leave any faster when I haven't gotten what I paid for, sorry.

Also, some couple brought their baby to the movie. I got extremely lucky in that I only heard a peep out of it once (and not a peep out of anyone else, either). Cherry on top was during the end credits a family came in with two kids who looked about 5 or 6 years old.
