The worst thing of spending 3 years in the HP slash fandom is that you start thinking that other fandoms have the same concept of quality for fanfics.
WRONG.
edit: I'm now definitely more relaxed. A bit of patience and tag-after-tag researches brought me to
soucieux's lj, where I found some really, really nice Jin/Kame NC-17 fics (even though my idea of NC-17 is definitely dirtier and I wouldn't rate those fics higher than R).
God, it's so difficult to find acceptable things that are longer than 2k words! And smutty!
