Why I love winter holidays's fics exchanges

- They make me feel part of something great. Although I've never been a recipient, I love my fandom and these activities show the best side of fandomers.

- I get a big amount of quality stuff to read every day. No matter how useless, lazy or sad my day has been, I know that I can cheer myself up with a story or a fanart, as soon as I come back home, and that I have plenty of things to talk about with my fellow readers.

- 80% of the stories are rated R or NC-17. THANK GOD!

- Fandomers get active again. I've seen people have stopped or reduced their fandom-related posting lately, and watching so many recs posts makes me happy. (I know it sounds lame, but as I said, I love my fandom!)

- There's the mystery factor. I love guessing who might have written a fic and comparing my guesses with other readers.

To sum up, they make December even more magic.

Oh, did I mention that I'm reading more and more BRILLIANT post-epilogue fanfics? I'm sure that someone will change their mind about DH's ending!

My recs so far?
Draco, the Magic Dragon (delightful UST, a good and discreet plot, an irresistible Draco)
and, of course,
The Price We Pay For Wings. As I said in my comment, this is an instant classic. One of those fics that remind you why you hardly buy books anymore.

I'm seeing Across The Universe tomorrow!! CAN'T WAIT!
