Brotherly love. Oh, my <3
While waiting for arielpotter to tell me EVERYTHING about her trip to London, here is a little film rec.
Yesterday I watched Mio fratello è figlio unico (My brother is an only son), one of the best Italian films I've seen in the last years. The story is set in Italy during the 1970s and it's about two brothers who choose opposite parties (communist and fascist) to engage socially and politically.
Those must have been very difficult years to be young. My mother told me that the level of political tension made it impossible to walk the streets, some days. I think this film managed to show how irrational and useless it is to approach extremist parties - even if it focuses mainly on the relationship between the two brothers and a young woman (did I mention that I have a thing for love triangles? Especially those involving two brothers!)
I spent half the time picturing the two of them having wild sex thinking about how well both actors played and hoping that the film will be distributed abroad too.
