Just something quick -- since I've been here in NJ I've been going to Bouncing Souls shows with the Girl Gang and while that has been extremely enjoyable (who knew I'd have so much fun getting kicked in the head? *grin*), it has also brought a new band to my attention, and now, after seeing them for the fifth time and playing their cd on repeat for a few days, I can officially say: HEY! THIS BAND! I LIKE THEM! CHECK THEM OUT! :D
While it's true that -- according to my all-knowing shuffle -- My Chem is still and no doubt irrevocably the shiniest thing, it is fantastic to have a relatively local band to support (they're out of Philadelphia), and Luther are a fun band to watch onstage. They have a good sound, really give it their all, and are engagingly, ridiculously cheerful when you corner them for a chat afterwards (which is also fun!)
So give 'em a listen, like 'em on FB, and since they're out on the road right now (and heading west), check 'em out in person! You'll like them, I promise!
