I felt the same way! It had been years since I'd listened to anything j-pop/j-rock/anime related, and then there was Gerard! Singing in a song for a game franchise that defined my high school and college years! And he really did fit so perfectly. And don't get me started on how much I flailed over Party Poison, Trey thought I was insane. XD

FFX is my favorite (and actually the only one that I've finished XD). I have all the music from it. Right now I'm waiting on a ps1 memory card to come in (I have no idea what happened to my old one) so that I can play I-IX (minus III since it never came out on the playstation :( ) in order and replay Legend of Dragoon, because I am insane. XD I wish i could find all my GameCube stuff so I could replay Zelda:OoT for the zillionth time.

It's really good, the production values weren't as high as some other anime, so there are a lot of still frames as opposed to flowing animation, but once you get used to it you start to appreciate it, it gives it a very storybook feel (the manga it's based on is really good too, if not nearly as dark).

I need to go redownload all my old anime soundtracks. I just got a mad craving to listen to Slayers and Digimon Adventure music. XD

The only reason I even ever have a Nintendo system is for Zelda! (I'm just getting ready to head into the Shadow Temple again...heh)

But you'll have to let me know what you think about those other FF games, because to be honest, I've only finished X and X-2 (I know X-2 isn't to everyone's taste, but I am shoujo to the depths of my doki doki heart and couldn't resist it. *grin*) and I don't feel like I can really claim to be a fan of the series until I get my hands on Squall play the other games.

Digimon was my first anime. Also my first slash fandom. It was like a gateway drug. XD

I just finished FFX-2 last night (I've been tweeting as I played through it). The story is just terrible when compared to FFX, and I missed having an assortment of bishounen on my team, but the battle system is fun as hell so I have rather mixed feelings on it. Paine is awesome though. XD

During middle school/high school I watched my brother play through FFVII/VIII/IX, and then in college my roomie played through VIII and again I watched. We were going to cosplay Squall and Laguna but never managed to put our costumes together in time for AnimeBoston. I'm very excited to actually play through those games myself. :)

Ha that's how I think of my first anime, too! It's truly the worst form of crack available. ;D

I haven't been doing much w/ Twitter lately (the curse of not having unlimited texting) so I missed your play-by-play! I admit the story did lag a bit (that concert scene was a notable low-point, I thought), but I was still determined to get 100% for that ending!

I've never cosplayed...but I do have a self-portrait as Lulu tucked away in my files. All those belts! That took FOREVER to ink in! lol
