Beautifully poetic, insightful and mature. It is a great exploration of Kira and his strength and insecurities.

How long did it take you to write this? This is wonderful, it's like an ode to Kira.

I love so many lines, so deeply that I'm going to refrain from quoting any, instead (in spirit) let me just quote the whole story - because all of it is magnificent.

Technically speaking, it took me only about four days to write - although I started this fic about a month before I finished. I worked on it for a day, got frustrated with it, abandoned it, and picked it up again after a month passed. Then I finished the rest of it in about three days XD

Thank you very much for your feedback - not many people bother to sit through genfic these days. ♥ Wrote this because I've been craving to explore Kira's possible insecurities about himself and his own strength for a long time. (It might have been spurred on by people constantly writing him as weak >_>)

Definitely not confusing. The digesting just meant that there was so much awesome that it took a while for it to all sink in. I actually read it twice, and loved it equally both times.

Kira is so much stronger than people give him credit for. I really can't/don't read many fics with him, because the way a lot of people portray him breaks my heart. I think you did an excellent job at showing his insecurity, but also his profound strength.

Sorry if this is incoherent and rambling... It's 7:30am and I haven't slept yet. >.

Not incoherent at all, makes sense to me :D And I do agree. Kira's one of my two most favorite characters in Bleach, but even I find it hard to read fics on him sometimes; there is a sadness surrounding Kira's character, but some people mistakenly translate that into "girly submissive wimp" :/

your writing is always beautiful, the way your write/refer to Kira is how I would imagine it would be ^^ I <3 that you started from the day he was in the Academy struggling from that moment they encountered the hollows to now where he and Hisagi are trying to rebuild Seireitei and themselves...

My favorite line in this fic was "It felt tremendously like his head had slid beneath the surface of water, like he was lost but unthinking, drifting, and wading just to find himself and keep from drowning."

I'm very grateful for your feedback, and I appreciate you taking the time out to read this :) There's a lot that I love to work from in Kira because there's such a sense of tragedy in his character... not only does it inspire a lot of soft and sad imagery, but it becomes worthwhile to do such a "character study" of him, of his possible insecurities about himself and his own strength and capabilities.
