So the other day I had to call the OBS clinic and cancel my appointment, and while I was chatting with the secretary she said, "OH I have your ultrasound date."
Erm...I told her, "But I already had one."
She told me that she would put me on with the nurse. Great.
The nurse came on and told me that my placenta is *low lying* and that it needs to be checked in the 3rd trimester. She said that if it stays that way than it would mean I would need a c-section.
Ughhh...it also means that I'd have *Placenta praevia* which means I could potentially have to go on bed rest. There is the chance for bleeding and premature labor, etc.
The good news?! This can change!
I'm so happy that it can change and I have been praying about it and hoping that it does change. As the womb expands the placenta can be pulled upward moving it away from the birth canal. Here's hoping anyway! =o)
It does make me worry a little...I mean, I've had two really good, fast, labors and one was even drug free so I would like to be able to complete this without being cut open...yuck!
I would do whatever was necessary though...of course!
Other than that I guess I should count myself lucky to get another peek at the baby! lol
With Kaleigh AND Colby I had 5-6 ultrasounds each, two of which (with Colby) were over an hour long since they were looking at his heart.
That's the update! =oP
