Okay, I need help; I remember reading this story in Chinese about how the prawn took its beautiful eyes from some other animal and never returned it. I need to know what this animal is.
I know it wasn't in one of the textbooks. I am pretty certain, actually, that it was in one of the many extra newspaper things we had to subscribe to. (Not Da Mu Zi, but the other one.)
Is there any chance anyone knows what I'm talking about?
EDIT: NEVER MIND, I FOUND
IT after I decided to search Google with Chinese search terms.
The other animal is the earthworm. Also, this is a pun, because the Chinese for 'prawn' is a homonym for 'blind'. And the earthworm was like. A cricket. Or something. I cannot find the other half of its name.
The point is, the earthworm had adorable black eyes, and it was BFF with this blind prawn, so because it felt sorry that the prawn couldn't see, it loaned the prawn the use of its eyes. And the prawn had to put them on stalks. And then the prawn swam away and never came back. (And I remember all this from memory, because I have to constantly C&P words I can't remember how to read into my online dictionary, so I haven't read it through. I have read enough to know the prawn was a penis to the earthworm.)
