Some Happy New Developments

So, I've been busy these past weeks, but there is good news to know of! And so let me tell you.

* Obama's Inauguration! It was good times. I saw it all at the DUC, there was a projector screen, as well as all the TV screens and most of the public computers were also screening the inauguration. The most touching part, I think (though, don't get me wrong, the speech was awesome and inspiring too), was how excited so many people were for it. It was like a holiday. Teachers canceled class, everyone was talking about it all day, everyone was just happier. It really makes me optimistic for Obama's term, I hope he can continue inspiring people to care.

* My crazy little new year/new semester party was a success! We had over 25 people, and awesome ones at that! Good music, good food and beverages, pretty lights (which are still strung up in my apartment, yay), and of course way way cool people. And my apartment is finally clean... sort of. Special thanks to Ellen for helping me organize it! And also to Mysti for bringing board games! And to Andi for helping me pick out... libations! And to Adam for helping me purchase those libations, and not minding when I hijacked his weekend! lol. And thanks of course to everyone who came, I'm so glad you did.

* There is a Mysti staying with me now! And her kitties, Waffles and Seren! Aww, so cute! ^_^ Hehe. It's kinda this makeshift arrangement, since she can't officially live here till her other lease expires. But both of us were roommateless and lonely, and there's more than enough space here, so it just made sense. And it's working out well so far. Now if only I can stop being distracted long enough to get work done...

* Lunar New Year Festival was way cool! It was fun, and I really think this year was one of the best. And the cultural show train is far from over, I'll be in Carnaval skit too..!

Yep, that's just about what's going on in my life. More to come later, I hope! And, anyone out there seeking a Valentine? :P
