Hey all! So, this Christmas parody is actually one I made in 2004 around this time. Some of you may recognize it, but I'm sure most of you I didn't know back then. Thus, I reproduced it here for you! I hope you find it amusing.
The LiveJournal Night Before Christmas
Twas the Night Before Christmas
And all through the screen
Not a click was heard
Not a mouse could be seen
Decorations were hung on the LiveJournal site
So the holiday season would be happy and bright
The LiveJournal staff was sleeping safe in their beds
And ideas for upgrades danced in their heads
The computer shut down with a satisfied "beep!"
It had just settled in to its mode called "Sleep"
A loud sound was heard, bringing shock but no terror
And Windows opened up, to see what was the error
The window popped up, right in front of my eyes
And all other programs were set to "minimize"
The light from the screen let off such a glow
All the keys could be seen on the keyboard below
And in my surprise, I can barely think
When I see a miniature server and eight tiny links
With a user so quick there was never a pause
I knew without a doubt that it was Santa Claus
Quicker than a Broadband connection they came
And he pulled them all up, calling each one by name
Now Dasher, now Dancer, now Prancer, and Vixen
On Comet, on Cupid, on Donner and Blitzen
On top of the screen, over the firewall
Now dash away, dash away, dash away all!
A message popped up, as it disappeared from sight
"Merry Christmas to all, and to all a Good Night!"
